In my life, I have had surprisingly few failures worth noting. I am blessed by god beyond any measure, and I don’t deserve it…at all. I have always realized this, but now, with this blog, I see it even further. I am loved, regardless of all my faults. It really is true: god does not love us for ourselves, he loves us in spite of ourselves.

I have only one light in my life, and that is Jesus. He lights up my entire world, even the other lights that I have are from him. He gives me hope, love, and a chance. He gives me a chance to get to heaven, a chance at eternal happiness. I have no worries in my life that could possibly eclipse him, not even the darkest of places is untouched by him. Now, if I only had the courage to remove the shade from my lamp and share the light with the entire world.
