Funny sign

What you see here is a PERFECT example of why I should not be in the construction business. No, I didn’t do this, but I totally would. If I had the job they had, I would do this much faster than a heartbeat. I enjoy jokes, and I would love every second of that. Then someone would come along, see the sign, get mad because it is true and cuss me out. That is one of the many problems we have: sticks in the mud.

School is almost over!!!

I am sooooooooooooo close to the end of my junior year. Most people are excited that it is almost over, but I want it to keep going. I know how life is going to be, and I know how easy I have it. I really wish I had more time, I wish I was a freshman again. I do want to be an adult, to have a job and have my own life, but why is it so close? I have been told of the fun of college, but am I really ready? I guess I am just being paranoid, but I am anxious.

strange dream...

Last night, I had the most unusual dream. I dreamt that my dad and I were survivors of some apocalypse. I don’t know what it was, but we survived it. We were living in some tall beach house, trying to scavenge to find food. We had the constant fear of others finding our home, or worse, us. We had to be subtle, or we would probably die. We eventually ran into some girls, who had access to 3 helicopters and fuel. They were planning to go to some island, because the soul there was still useable (I am still not sure why the soil where I was wouldn’t work). It seemed so strange. I am not saying it felt real, but it did not feal like a normal dream. I have not been doing anything to think of an apocalypse. I am not sure of why I had it. All I know is that I think I felt…something in my room when I woke up. I am kind of weirded out by this.

How can you have a beautiful ending without making beautiful mistakes?

Well, that is a very simple answer: with wisdom. Even a fool learns not to touch the hot pan after burning themselves, but a wise man will learn from the fool. If you make the mistake, then you have to live with that for the rest of your life, while if you learn from others, you can live life just the same as one who made the mistake and learned, but without the regret. Although the world says “it is good to make mistakes so you can mature”, or “it is typical of people your age”, but anyone close to god (or who has read proverbs) knows that this isn’t true. The more mistakes you can avoid, the less that holds you back. Just as an example, look at Michael Phelps. He went through his teenage years without drugs, and went o to win 7 gold medals in the Olympics, a world record. It is, however, unfortunate that he did them afterwards. Excluding that, he is the perfect example of the rewards of learning from other’s mistakes.

Perversion

In our world, we have idolized the female body. Don’t get me wrong, I am not gay, but I definitely think that it is wrong to show so much. From movies, to video games, to inappropriate videos, we have gotten way too revealing. I am not trying to sound too uptight or anything like that, but there is too much. It has lead to the most inappropriate commercials that should not be shown on TV (TROJAN!!!). I have always thought that it is inappropriate, but I am not really sure why I am suddenly so offended by it. I just think it has gone too far.

Discipline

People have little discipline in modern day, me included. Discipline to me is a good work ethic, reliability, and self restraint. Those who lack discipline can have big trouble in life, unless they try. Those who lack discipline actually have to grow some to grow some, which adds complications. I have found a way to do this for myself, and it is surprisingly easy. I just need to make myself a routine, and I will have no trouble at all. This is my way, and there is a question you need to ask yourself: what’s yours?

Interests

All people have interests. For some, they control their loves, for some they are nothing but silent ambitions and wishes. People are judged by their interests as much as they are judged by their personalities. People who are into sports are normal, people who are into cars are normal, and people who are into girls are normal (or players, depending on the degree). On the other hand, people are judged negatively also, if their interests are contrary to most. Those who like fantasy are nerds, those who are overly into other’s personal livers are gossipy, and even if people are overly devoted to anything are considered obsessed. We humans seem to take every opportunity to judge that we can.
