The Search

In our life, we all have plans. We want to be an engineer, or a pilot, or farmer. We must learn to forget our plans in favor of God’s. Even if we have plans to be godly things, such as a missionary, it is not good unless you believe God is leading you to do so. In the end, his plan is better than whatever ours is. We must follow it, whatever it is. It will give us more happiness than whatever we have planned.

Exploring

We all have those temptations. We all want to be crazy and do whatever we want. Anything we want, anything that we have been told not to do. We can’t always learn from other's mistakes, and sometimes have to make our own. This causes us to grow, but it is still better that we avoid them. People often say that they do these things so they can learn, and it will make them better people. This is not why we say this. We are not supposed to use this as a mistake, but it is just a theory. In the end, the best person is one who learns the same lesson from other people, and avoid these mistakes.

Another day

Today, we were supposed to have no school. We have a snowstorm on the way, and we were supposed to have a huge amount of snow. But instead we will get around 2 inches of snow. School should have been canceled, but they called the weatherman’s bluff. They waited to call us off, and we ended up just coming to school. I am in school now, typing this. I’m mad…oh well.

Breaks

Day after day, we go about the same routine. We go to work or school, come home, eat, sleep, repeat. We can be in such ruts, and there is only 1 thing that can get us out. Breaks. Snow days, sick days, personal days, holidays, any Is fine. These days give us a taste of what it is like to have no job worries. We all want these days, a break from the daily grind, but they are rare. Oh, how we all wish they were every day, but no, they aren’t. so, we must take advantage of all of these, weather we sleep, party, or be with friends or family.

Change

Change. Some fear it, some love it, and some can’t live without it. We all have it, but not all embrace it. Many try to avoid it, many try to cause it, and many, still, just go with the flow. Nothing ever happens exactly the same. Change is all around us, none can deny it. It is necessary to progress and improve, so it is a good thing to embrace

Jesus

Over 2000 years ago, a baby was born. This baby, which to an onlooker would appear normal, was destined to be king of the Jews, and save all who would believe in him. The king of kings, the lord of lords, the prince of peace would be what we called him. He would be exalted to the highest place by God, his father. He would have love for all, and teach many. His teachings would save countless souls. His very words and thoughts would be powerful above all. They could move mountains, control life, command demons, and call armies of angles. He is above even the highest of all of us, yet he came down to be humbled, suffer, and even die for us. He is truly the greatest, other than god. all should answer to him and god, but yet he and god answer to us. They love us more than we could ever knowjavascript:void(0) or deserve, and he should be exalted to the highest place in our hearts. It is in him we live, and are saved.

Disaster

In times of wellbeing and prosperity, most all are happy. People have money, comfort, and shelter. We can mostly manage ourselves, and so we do. Everyone minds their selves, and ignore others. We live in our own little world, and we are fine with that. This is the American world.
But, with just one event, everything and everyone changes.
We all come out and help out brothers and sisters, we all come together, and we all stop our isolation, after a disaster. If there is a tree in the road, everyone with a chainsaw comes and helps. If there is a destroyed, everyone gathers and helps. If there is no power, you can find carts, going around with cold water and hot food. Sacrifice becomes the model of the community. When help is needed, we all respond.

The questions we ask

What power rules us?
Being a Christian, the obvious answer is God. But, the more you thing, the more is may seem different than the first thought. Yes, God rules the entire universe, but he gave us all free will. He controls circumstances around us, but we make our own decisions. He doesn’t control us like a puppet master, but with a guiding force, and allows us to choose whether or not we follow it.
How well do we even know ourselves?
Most of us think we know who we are, but it may be different than we think. How can we know ourselves unless we ether are told, which is unreliable, or we can sit down, and just think. Think of all we do, think, and say, and what we don’t do and thing and say. The person we all think we are may be different from what others think.
To what extent can we be sure of anything?
This is a complicated question with a certain answer. There are very few things we can be certain of. Only God’s word, we not be here on earth forever, and that we live now, and that we cannot be certain. We depend on certain truths and parts of life that we think will never change. This is something that we all do, but these things are rarely permanent. They will all almost certainly change.

My scariest experience ever

“Chance, get up.”
“Wuh…why? It’s 1:10 in the morning.”
“just come downstairs.”
I walk down the stairs, still half asleep. Once I reach the bottom, I go towards the couch, fully intent on going back to sleep. I then look at the T.V., only to see the weather channel. I know this must be bad, because my dad never watches the weather in a storm. As a matter of fact, he does all he can to avoid the news. I didn’t actually watched it, because he stops me and tells me to get into the kitchen. I know this is bad, because we decided this was our safe spot, in the event of a tornado. I get down, and wait. I look at the clock. 1:13. My dad dives down on top of me, and seconds later, the storm hits. I feel the house shake, stop, and shake again, then stop. Silence. Darkness. This was a tornado. We get up, and nothing has happened to the house, we think.
“I’m going out to see what it looks like.”
“But what if there is another one?” I say.
“There won’t be, do you want to go?”
“No.”
“okay.”
He exits the door, and I sit and wait…and wait…and wait…and wait…and he doesn’t come out for what seems like forever. I step out to look for him, only to see that he has barely gone any distance. I catch up with him, and we walk in silence. We walk around for about thirty minutes, and then return to the house. I sleep in his bed tonight, by his request. (I don’t complain)

Christmas

Most every child in the world knows what Christmas is. Most get presents under a decorated tree, and look forward to the day throughout the year. The holiday is well known as a gift giving holiday, but that is just plain wrong. The season is entirely about Jesus Christ, who was born on this day to save us all. This gift is greater than all gifts, no one can ever out give him, and I love him for that. This is the reason we give gifts, but that is NOT the reason we do all of this. This is a season for Christians and Catholics, not for anyone else, especially not Atheists. These people do not deserve this time. But, then again, neither do the Christians and Catholics. The only reason we can is because we needed him. In the end, we only get it because we believe.
