My favorite place

My favorite place is not a physical place at all. It is a place where my worries are relieved, my hopes are strengthened, and my faith is furthered. I find things of myself that I never knew, I find things I need to improve, good things I do daily that I don’t even realize, and things I want to do someday soon. This place is one I cannot describe, because it is not there, yet it is always available for me to go to. I do not know the smells, because I am there, but not there. I do not know the sights, because my eyes are closed while I am there. I know not the sounds and I do not know even where exactly it is. I cannot touch anything there, but I know it feels like home.

When I am there, I feel relief, I feel strengthened, and I feel loved beyond all other places. It is the place I go every chance I get, yet it is not enough. It is a place of rest, of happiness, of peace. At the end of my time there, I feel fulfilled. It is the beginning of all, and the end of those who go there often. This place is my favorite place.

This is the place of prayer.
