The statue of liberty
i lust left the island where the statue of liberty is located, and wow. It is so humbling to be here. Just the knowledge that this is, other than the flag, the main symbol of america. It is among the first things that imigrants used to see when they arrive here. Standing on the top of the 156 steps that lead to the top of the pedistol, i could not help but be in awe. The sight of the manhatan island skyline was an amazing sight, and i am very glad to have gotten to see it. After the walk down the 151 steps to he top if the star shaped base, we just sat in the shade of lady liberty. It was the first time we had been outside in compleate scilence the whole time we have been here. I am sad to only have 1 more day here.
